Terms of service
These terms apply between Liam Jones, trading as ProductDocs ("we"), and the merchant who installs ProductDocs on a Shopify store ("you"). Installing the app means you accept them. The privacy policy and data processing addendum form part of these terms.
The service
ProductDocs lets you attach documents to products and share them through permanent links, QR codes and Shopify surfaces. We will provide it with reasonable skill and care. Features vary by plan as described on the app's pricing page in your Shopify admin.
Fees
Plans are billed by Shopify in US dollars under Shopify's App Pricing terms. Trials, proration on plan changes and refunds follow Shopify's rules. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the app; a downgrade keeps your existing content but stops you adding beyond the new plan's limits.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us a licence to store, process and deliver it as needed to provide the service, including to shoppers who open your links. You are responsible for having the rights to the documents you upload, for their accuracy, and for meeting any product-safety or consumer-information law that applies to you. ProductDocs helps you deliver information digitally; it does not decide what information a product legally requires, and it does not replace safety warnings that must appear on the product or packaging.
Permanent links
Links and QR codes issued by the app are intended to keep working for as long as you have a paid plan, and for 13 months after you uninstall if your store has paid at any time, as set out in the privacy policy. We will not reuse a link for another store or purpose. If we ever discontinue the service we will give at least six months' notice and provide an export of your links and documents so you can redirect them.
Acceptable use
Do not upload unlawful content, malware, or material you have no right to distribute, and do not use the app to host files unrelated to products you sell. We may suspend an account that breaches this after notice, or immediately if the breach is causing harm.
Availability and support
We aim for the service to be available continuously but do not guarantee it. Support is by email at hello@productdocs.app, with replies within two working days on paid plans.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or indirect loss. We are not liable for the content of documents you upload or for your compliance with product laws.
Ending
You can end these terms at any time by uninstalling the app. We can end them on 30 days' notice, or immediately for a serious breach. The data retention and permanent-link commitments survive termination.
General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. We may update these terms; material changes are notified by email 30 days before they take effect.
